Fire Pro ZOMG! User Agreement
Welcome to FireproZOMG!. I'm the administrator, LordVermin.
Much has been said in public and in private about my personal forum administration style. Some may not know this, but I was once the sole administrator at the Firepro Club, the largest online Firepro community for western audiences. After seeing the condition of the existing forum at that time, even though I had no previous contact with him, I e-mailed Jim Freeman, president and founder of the Club, and requested administrator duties to help make the Club better for everyone. While I was administrator, the Club board saw a huge influx of new users, mostly due to the release of Fire Prowrestling D for the Sega Dreamcast. After about two years, I handed the keys back to Freeman, as my technical skill at the time was not sufficient to provide a home that the now large and prosperous Club deserved.
My experiences during this time helped shape me into the administrator I am today. I suppose the best way I could tell you about my personal style would be to say that, if the 'standard' forum administrator is like the American legal system, then my style is like the Peter Blunt system. I impose very few rules on the users. The golden rule is as follows: you will act like an intelligent, well-adjusted adult and treat others with respect and civility. That's it for our rules.
It is important to note that you have no "right" to post. You are granted the privilege to post. No one will be allowed to post hateful garbage. There are no people with "gimmicks" here - if you want to roleplay, there are other boards for that. There will be absolutely, positively no flaming of anyone or hazing of new users, as this is not some middle school boy's locker room. There are many boards out there on which this stuff is allowed - if for some reason flaming others makes you proud of yourself, or if you cannot resist displaying your insecurities every few moments or cannot repress your sarcasm reflex, then you will be more at home at GameFAQS.
Much like in the Peter Blunt system, where Mr. Blunt 'doesn't go in for motions or hearings', I am not one who gives many warnings or second chances. The rules are clear. If you break them, you may, depending on the severity of the infraction, receive a warning. If the rules are broken again, you will have your posting privileges removed permanently. Our community is small and welcoming, but it also has zero tolerance for people who can't act like civilized adults. Other than myself, our current global moderators are JDDelphin and Your Red Dog, two of the most mild-mannered, accepting and non-argumentative guys you will ever find on the net who are dedicated to making sure this board remains a place we all want to visit regularly.
Contrary to what may have been said elsewhere, we welcome new users. The purpose of this board is not only to provide a place for Firepro fans to gather and converse, but also to spread information about the inner workings of the Fire Pro system. We have among our ranks some of the best players that have ever turned on a Fire Pro game with MANY years of experience creating edits of all kinds. If you have a question, regardless if you are a Fire Pro vet or have just switched it on for the first time, please do not hesitate to post; we are glad to help.
Usual legal stuff follows.
