Guard Crush 4 SSF4 Singles: Chris Hu vs Jago Midnight
I remember watching this live on stream. I laughed at the commentary then and I'm still laughing now.

I decided to come back to SSF4 after a week or so without playing ranked. I played two matches before I quit. These are the last two ranked matches I'm ever doing, so I thought I'd share.
This one is, without a doubt, the lamest attempt at playing SF I've ever seen in my life. I have more respect for DP spamming Ken rookies than I do for this fucking waste of skin because at least they TRY. In all my SF4 and SSF4 experience I can't ever remember somebody who wasn't playing Akuma who actively ran away like this guy does. 11k+ BP on him, too. It's pathetic. I'm not going to explain any further, if you can't understand why playing this match pissed me off then I can't even explain it to you, and if you do, I don't need to explain it.

Here's the other. It speaks for itself.
That's it. No long speech, I'm just done. This game isn't going back in my system unless someone from here asks me to play, and if the new characters are bullshit them I'm going to either sell the game or destroy it, depending on what I can get for it.
Hope you guys enjoyed what I posted! (well, all but these two anyway)

If you get rid of the game I would like the controller back please. I have a friend in town who could use it.

I wasn't aware your "gift" was actually a conditional loan. I'll have it back to you this week.

Those matches were probably about as fun to watch as they were to play
I don't know which was more frustrating to play though. Every time I see Seth chosen I have even less confidence then I do against Ken. Seth never should have been a character in my view (he's just a bad version of a bad SNK boss) and having him actually playable online is a mess. But then you see that Blanka basically doing defensive calisthenics/gymnastics and it's a toss-up.
That all said, at the very least your matches reminded me of Zangief's jumping forward kick which I totally forgot about. So next time I win a match with Zangief, I'm dedicating it to you
Sorry your SSFIV online experience seems to be ending this way. But it's not good to be stressed over free time games like this. If the solution is putting it down and walking away, I totally understand. Hopefully that Hokuto No Ken game will come out soon for you to have

lol, thanks
Zangief's jumping MK is a great weapon. It stuffs a lot of things (blanka balls, Sagat's standing HK, etc). I usually alternate between that and his jumping HP, the jumping HP works better from further away. Normally it will beat a DP if you hit it at the right angle, but apparently Seth's DP has different properties than Ken and Ryu's.

It's just a huge difference in philosophy. I don't play this game to win, nor do I play it to "get better" - I'm as good as I'm ever going to get at this stuff because I just don't care enough to get any better. I certainly don't play to "grind out matches" or any of that stupid ass nonsense. I play it for FUN. I just don't get how somebody could have fun doing that above shit with Blanka. What's the draw to that? When I got to where my choice was to A) play Dhalsim and zone everybody and ruin their fun, or B) not play Dhalsim - I dropped Dhalsim. I LIKE Dhalsim, yeah, but if my choice is to play him and ruin people's fun or play one of the other 30+ guys on the roster and NOT cause headaches, my choice is made for me. It's part of the reason I love Zangief and Hakan - yeah, they have big weaknesses, but that's supposed to be a part of the game. EVERYBODY should have a weakness in my opinion, there should be something for every character that each other character can exploit - not necessarily the same thing for each, but SOMETHING. Unfortunately it doesn't always work out that way. When I run into these dudes in ranked, I just shake my head. I don't get it. The way I see it, by going on there, I'm humoring/enabling them, and at this point I think I'd rather slam my nuts in a car door than tell one more of these guys "Yeah bro, keep playing this way, you're awesome" by giving him the chance to perfect me with Seth.
This game is a blast, really, with the caveat that you play it with the right people. So I'll keep playing with the guys around here, that's always a lot of fun, but I figured you all should know there won't be any more replays coming from me from ranked stuff. It's just not worth it anymore to spend the time on them.

I actually think I've played against that Blanka before...was he on mic and laughing nasally like a jerkoff every time he hit a ball or slide attack? The play style is the same, I just dunno if it was the same dude. Either way, shitty way to play an already frustrating character.

The last two times I used Zangief after having a 2-3 week break, I knew I was forgetting one of the things you told me about. But I couldn't pinpoint what. (ok and was too lazy to check the post, LOL) It was definitely the jumping MK. That's a very cool addition to his regular moveset (as is his standing HK). It's really combo-able too (a bit more precise then the jumping splash when not crossing up) and just seems like a menacing move to avoid when he's coming down on you with it. Gotta remember to use it more.
As for Seth - Gotta wonder what capcom was thinking (and why they put him online to use) - Let's give the guy amazing Dhalsim zoning AND the ability to dominate in melee thanks to a really high priority dragon punch!! Then let's imagine nothing bad will come from THAT. Nice work on that guy Capcom, nice work

Yeah it definitely is a difference in philosophy. I just don't really understand why anyone would pay $60 (+$40) only to do THAT with Blanka. But hey, I'm not gonna tell them they can't. I just wouldn't do it myself. Seems like a waste of time and really, that Blanka is a charitable representation of some play styles I REALLY don't get. (all air fireballs for example). Might as well just use the SSFIV disc as a frisbie.
I understand that Ranked is different then Casual/Friendly play. I understand people are more competitive. That's one of the reasons I play it. I figure people will be a bit more "on" mentally then otherwise. But at the same time, I still try to play in a way I enjoy. Like if I'm in the mood to use a certain character, evne if I'm not sure how steady I am with them, I'll still use them. I probably know more about how to use Abel in SSFIV then I do about using Balrog or Dee Jay but if I'm suddenly in the mood to bust out Balrog, I'm gonna do it. Will that result in my PP or BP or whatever reducing? Maybe.
But I'm a bit more concerned with my overall FF - Fun Factor. [/cheesy]

Yeah that's understandable. Don't keep doing it at this point with the unpleasant experience you're having. Of course if you get some good matches with guys around here, feel free to share

It was a gift, which I hoped would be used to help your Street Fighter experience and stop those dropped inputs your old one was having. I'm sorry that I feel slightly miffed over the fact that the controller isn't going to be used for what I hoped it would and my initial reaction was rejection. If you want to send it back now you can and I will give you my address, but I really don't want to see it because that means you gave up on the game.

Had a few more Sakura ranked matches yesterday, but only one of them were decent. Even then, this video isn't particularly special, but I just wanted to put this out there. A victory that I am glad to take.

Good stuff slithice! Maybe we can get some matches this week?
Anyway, eventhubs posted this video of some overweight asian dude that everyone wants to give ultra combo blow jobs too because they follow his every move playing the 'lowest of low tier.' If you read lists, you'll see this character is terrible because they are at the bottom of the list. But here is someone at the top of the awesomeness list playing a character at the bottom of the list well against another character at the top of the list...
Is the list upside down? You be the Judge
(my screen name really should be engineer...)
